Losing in the final seconds is never easy, it's even worse when the referees can't get their act together and spot the ball correctly.
In Thursday's game between Colorado and Hawaii, the refs had problems throwing and catching the ball to one another as precious time ticked off the clock. Colorado trailed 28-20 with about 12 seconds to go, which is usually enough time for another play, unfortunately the refs were ready to get out of there.
Hawaii obviously went on to win, 28-20.

Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium is one of college football’s oldest playing venues, and after a year away due to renovations, the Bearcats are set to return to campus in 2015. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Nippert Stadium, Cincinnati and Under Armour unveiled a new alternate uniform on Thursday.
The red jerseys aren't drastically different, but the helmets are unique.
Needless to say, these are pretty interesting:

Ohio rapper Mekka Don is back with another Buckeyes gem.
The rapper has already given us good reason to think Ezekiel Elliott may win the Heisman, and now he's dropping "Undisputed" on the dawn of college football season. Former Ohio State greats Eddie George, Otis Winston, and Matt Finkes make cameos, as well as Ohio native, Buster Douglas.
The beat, rhyme, and video are sick. If this is any indication of how the Buckeyes season is going to be, watch out Big Ten.
Ohio State takes on Virginia Tech September 7.

Nebraska’s defense received big news on Monday. With the season just around the corner, the defensive staff handed out the “Blackshirts” practice jerseys to 11 players.
This annual tradition of handing out black practice jerseys is a big deal for the defense, and this video captured the reactions as they walked into the locker room.
Needless to say, the Cornhuskers’ defenders were excited about this moment with the 2015 season inching closer:

South Carolina plans to honor the nine victims from June 17 shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church with a helmet sticker this season.
“The tragedy that happened in Charleston doesn’t just affect people in Charleston; it affects the entire state,” athletic director Ray Tanner said in a release from the school. We feel very much a part of that at the university. Coach Steve Spurrier and University President Harris Pastides felt very strongly that the ‘Emanuel 9’ should be recognized.”
The sticker features the Palmetto tree, with nine doves representing each of the victims.
Here’s a closer look at the sticker on the helmets:

Minnesota’s Thursday night opener against TCU is one of Week 1’s most anticipated games. And what better way to prepare for the opener than with a Frogger-inspired video game?
Thanks to Minnesota’s official Twitter account (@GopherSports), college football fans can have a little fun in the video game form. On Friday, the school released “Go Gopher Go,” a game where Minnesota's mascot (Goldy) tries to dodge TCU defenders, as well as a few other objects to reach the endzone.
No, this won’t fill the void of the annual college football game from EA Sports that’s currently on hiatus. However, it’s a good way to pass the time until the offseason officially ends.

As everyone probably knows around these parts, getting a scholarship as a walk-on is a pretty emotional moment.
Stanford walk-on Craig Jones has put in work, and that moment was thrust upon him when coach David Shaw announced he was now on scholarship. At a school like Stanford, that's something worth getting emotional about.
Jones tweeted about the moment he thought would never come.
Never thought I'd see the day— Craig Jones (@CraigJones_30) August 26, 2015

The all-black design is a sharp look for Louisville, featuring the “L” logo on the pants, along with a red Cardinal on the helmet.
Check out Louisville’s all-black uniform for the critical ACC showdown on Thursday, Sept. 17:

Forget those boring sororities, you should pledge to the Ducks.
Oregon's mascot recreated the Alabama sorority video that's been making the rounds recently, except this one is better.
Here's the original version, and the girls somehow end up on the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The new, and improved, version by the Duck is comical and just an overall delight to watch.
I think it's pretty obvious which one is more likely to get people to pledge.

There are many methods coaches use to keep their players engaged and energized before the season starts.
The coaches of Holy Cross football went above and beyond with a WWE-style wrestling match. To say the plaeyers were into it would be an understatement.
