Tennessee scored a huge upset victory over South Carolina on Saturday, and freshman receiver Marquez North made a couple of crazy catches to help the offense keep the chains moving throughout the game.
North delivered with his most important catch of the day with just under three minutes remaining, as Tennessee needed to convert a third and 10 with the game on the line. Despite a heavy pass rush, quarterback Justin Worley tossed a perfect pass to North on the sideline, which the freshman reeled in with a nifty one-handed grab.

At this point, head coach Butch Jones would take volunteers for his starting quarterback position.
Unfortunately, he will have to settle for Volunteers as the Tennessee quarterback carousel continues to spin with Jones' announcement that Nathan Peterman will be out at least a month after he underwent hand surgery.
Peterman's reign at the top of the depth chart was short-lived after he had been promoted to replace the struggling Justin Worley. Peterman injured his hand in his first career start against Florida, a 31-17 game in which he completed four of 11 passes for five yards and two interceptions. Worley came in for Peterman following the injury and didn't fare much better, completing 10 of 23 passes for 149 yards. If the junior Worley struggles, Jones could hand the baton to either one of his two true freshman, Joshua Dobbs or Riley Ferguson. The two will share the backup position will Peterman remains sidelined.
Tennessee should have things easier this week welcoming in South Alabama, but it's quite clear that the uncertainty at quarterback position is far from over in Knoxville.

Tennessee freshman receiver Marquez North was one of the top recruits in coach Butch Jones’ first signing class on Rocky Top.
North has five receptions through the first two weeks, with his best catch coming against the Hilltoppers.

The Butch Jones era at Tennessee will kickoff this Saturday against FCS opponent Austin Peay. And Jones ended the offseason speculation by picking junior Justin Worley as his starting quarterback against the Governors.
With the departure of quarterback Tyler Bray and receivers Cordarrelle Patterson and Justin Hunter to the NFL, Tennessee’s offense is expected to lean heavily on its ground attack and offensive line to win games in 2013.
Worley started three games in 2011 and has thrown for 738 yards and one touchdown during his nine career appearances. The junior has good size at 6-foot-4 and 222 pounds, but Jones prefers to have some mobility from his quarterbacks, and Worley has -22 rushing yards in his career.
With a cast of new receivers stepping into playing time, it will take Tennessee’s offense some time to jell.
If Worley stumbles, redshirt freshman Nathan Peterman is expected to be the backup, while true freshmen Joshua Dobbs and Riley Ferguson are No. 3 and No. 4 on the depth chart.

New Tennessee coach Butch Jones hinted there may be a few jersey changes in store for the Volunteers, and the program is set to unveil on Thursday afternoon a new alternate look for 2013.
Although the black alternate jersey worn against South Carolina in 2009 wasn’t a bad look, these charcoal or “Smokey” colored uniforms are an upgrade for Tennessee's third jersey.

Tennessee coach Butch Jones had a special visitor in practice on Wednesday. Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra made the trip from South Beach to Knoxville to visit with Jones and take in practice with the Volunteers.
The two coaches have developed a friendship, and Jones attended Miami’s game seven victory against San Antonio in the NBA Finals.
Any guesses as to what they talked about at practice in this photo? Maybe Jones was checking to see if LeBron James had any eligibility? Or was Jones asking about season tickets for the Heat?
