Week 8 is going to be a tough one for fantasy owners when it comes to determining which wide receivers and tight ends you are going to roll with. Even with Ben Roethlisberger’s injury, you would rather have Antonio Brown in your lineup than not available at all.
So in Week 8 of the fantasy football season and the running back that owners will miss the most is... Jay Ajayi? OK, Le’Veon Bell is pretty good too and Todd Gurley can be, but that’s how kind of how this season has gone as Ajayi went from the dog house to posting back-to-back 200-yard games.
It’s Week 8 of the fantasy football season and with six teams on bye at least you know which quarterbacks and defense/special teams you won’t be starting. Then again with Ben Roethlisberger injured, the list of healthy QBs from teams on bye isn’t as appealing.
There are six teams on bye in Week 8, which means there are plenty of big, big shoes to fill when it comes to the all-important flex position in your fantasy lineup. At wide receiver alone, there is no Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham Jr. at their owners’ disposal this week.
The tight end position this year is a terrible mess, much to the chagrin of fantasy owners. It even took Rob Gronkowski a month (and for Tom Brady to return) to get going. Gronk aside, there’s just no telling who is going to a top-five fantasy tight end each week.
Depending on league scoring, Matt Ryan has the most fantasy points out of all quarterbacks. He faces the Green Bay Packers in Week 8, whose secondary is so decimated Ryan and Julio Jones should have a field day. But even with this appealing matchup and a track record of success this season, Ryan is No.
