A win for the Arizona Cardinals (12-2) this afternoon would clinch the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs. Ironically, Green Bay is the only team that can mathematically swap places with Arizona, giving this matchup added significance.
Looking at the schedule at the beginning of the 2015 season, many would have said the Green Bay Packers’ game against the Oakland Raiders would be a laugher or maybe a cakewalk. Instead, this game has a much different feeling to it in December than it did at the beginning of September.
Thanksgiving Day was just the appetizer for Week 12 NFL and fantasy action. For the first time since Week 3 all 32 teams are in action, which means we still have 13 games to go between Sunday and Monday.
While there are plenty of things to be thankful for, one of them for football (and fantasy) fans is three games on Thanksgiving Day! And speaking of these three, oh-so-tasty matchups, what is a fantasy owner to do?
What an interesting week we just witnessed in the NFL and fantasy! Who had the Falcons losing to the 49ers and who had Devonta Freeman only getting 12 yards on 12 carries? Thank goodness he caught a touchdown!
What a terrible week in the NFL, and likewise fantasy, for injuries. Just take a look at these names — Le’Veon Bell, Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall and Steve Smith Sr. — all got hurt and weren’t able to finish their game.
Anything can happen on any given Sunday, we all know that and the unpredictability of each game is what makes playing fantasy football so fun. But wouldn’t it be nice to look ahead and see what is going to happen in Week 8 of the NFL season?
