Victor Cruz

Victor Cruz in store for second straight dud in Week 16?

The Giants wide receiver needs to rebound for his fantasy owners

Since becoming a major player in the New York Giants offense in Week 3, receiver Victor Cruz had his second-lowest output of the season in Week 15 against the Washington Redskins. Not the best time to have a dud for fantasy owners counting on him in their semifinals. But Cruz could be 2-for-2 in coming up short when the Giants face the Jets in Week 16.

Cruz had just 44 yards on five catches and nine targets against the 13th-ranked pass defense of the Redskins. His other dud was a two-catch, 12-yard game against Buffalo in Week 6.

New York Giants receivers Hakeem Nicks is a triple threat for fantasy owners in his Week 10 game against the San Francisco 49ers. And not in a good way.

New York Giants receivers: Start ’em if you got ’em

No Hakeem Nicks, no problem as Mario Manningham, Victor Cruz are primed for big day vs. Patriots

Hakeem Nicks is battling a hamstring injury that might keep him out of the New York Giants Sunday tilt at New England.

Even if Nicks was/is in the lineup, this is a start ’em if you’ve got ’em game at the receiver position for the Giants. That means if you were debating between Mario Manningham and Victor Cruz, both of them need to be in your starting lineup this week when Big Blue takes on the worst (or best) defense a fantasy receiver and quarterback can face through eight weeks this season.

Mario Manningham (Concussion) Not LIkely To Play This Weekend; Go Get Victor Cruz

The Giants receiver joins a long list of New York players sitting this week out

The Giants receiver joins a long list of New York players sitting this week out

Mario Manningham, the Giants wide receiver who suffered a concussion in last week's game against the St. Louis Rams probably won't play this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Manningham didnt practice on Friday and is currently listed as Doubtful for the Giants this weekend. And with the way the NFL treats concussions, a player who isnt cleared to practice on Friday, probably won't miraculously recover in two days to put his brain in danger on the football field.
