Florida State (14-10) at Wake Forest (14-10)

GAME NOTES: A pair of struggling Atlantic Coast Conference teams square off tonight, as the Wake Forest Demon Deacons welcome the Florida State Seminoles to LJVM Coliseum.

Wake Forest has dropped four straight games after Tuesday's 82-67 setback to NC State. Demon Deacons leading scorer Codi Miller-McIntyre, who sat out last week's game at Duke with an ankle injury, returned to the lineup and came off the bench to score a team-high 15 points, as Wake fell to 4-7 in ACC play.

NC State took control midway through the first half, using a 9-2 run to break a 35-35 stalemate. The Wolfpack went on to lead 46-38 at the half, and then cruised through the final 20 minutes.

Travis McKie and Devin Thomas were also in double figures with 11 points apiece for the Demon Deacons, who return to the friendly confines of Joel Coliseum for this game.

Wake Forest is 12-2 at home this season, but has dropped its last two as the host.

Miller-McIntyre averages 14.4 ppg, while Thomas (11.4) and McKie (10.8) round out the double-figure scorers for Wake, which average 70.8 ppg on 44.7 percent shooting this season. However, during their recent slide, the Demon Deacons have not surpassed the 70-point mark.

Florida State, meanwhile, has dropped consecutive game after Monday's 77-73 loss to Miami.

Trailing by as many as 13 points just two minutes into the second half, the Seminoles twice cut the deficit to three, but could never get over the hump against the Hurricanes. Miami withstood the second half surge by converting 10 of 14 free throws over the final 1:05 to hand the Seminoles their fifth loss in six games.

Devon Bookert scored 17 points and Aaron Thomas added 16 points for the Seminoles, who split the season series against Miami and fell to 5-7 in the ACC. Ian Miller, back in the lineup after a two-game absence with an ankle sprain, ended with 13 points.

Thomas leads the Seminoles with 13.3 ppg, while Okaro White adds 12.8 ppg and 6.8 rpg. Miller comes off the bench to round out the double-digit scorers with 12.7 ppg for Florida State, which average 71.2 ppg on 46.7 percent shooting, while holding foes to 64.8 ppg on 38.6 percent shooting.

This is the only meeting this season between these two schools. Even though Wake owns a 24-21 lead in the all-time series, FSU has won five of the last six meetings.

Expect this to be a close game. Both teams are struggling and are in need of a win. Wake is strong home team and that should be enough to lift the Deacs to victory.
