Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Anthony Drmic scored a game-high 30 points as the Boise State Broncos crushed the South Carolina Gamecocks, 80-54, in the semifinals of the Diamond Head Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Drmic shot 10-of-17 from the floor and 8-of-11 at the free-throw line, adding six rebounds for the Broncos (10-2) as they picked up their second straight win. Mikey Thompson came off the bench to provide 10 points, while Jeff Elorriaga and Ryan Watkins responded with nine and eight points, respectively.

The Gamecocks (3-6), losers of four of their last five, were led by Brenton Williams who tallied 14 points off the bench, but he shot only 4-of-12 from the field, including 2-of-7 behind the 3-point line. Duane Notice tacked on 13 points, while leading scorer Sindarius Thornwell (13.5 ppg), missed all six of his field goal chances and finished with just a single point.

The Broncos scored the first points of the meeting and never looked back, converting 53.6 percent from the field in order to claim a 43-28 advantage at the break.

In the second half it was more of the same for BSU as the team converted 53.8 percent from the floor, en route to the lopsided victory.

With the victory Boise State, which forced 18 turnovers and traded them in for 20 points, will now face off against 14th-ranked Iowa State in the championship game on Christmas.
