Recap: Ohio vs. Wright State

Athens, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Javarez Willis scored a game-high 21 points as the Ohio Bobcats pulled out a 56-54 victory over the Wright State Raiders in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament at the Convocation Center.

Willis knocked down 5-of-6 shots from 3-point range for Ohio (25-11), which will have to wait for other second round action to finish up before its next opponent is determined.

AJ Pacher had 16 points to lead Wright State (21-15). Matt Vest tacked on 13 points and Tavares Sledge collected 11 rebounds.

Wright State clung to a 21-20 lead at halftime. The Raiders only connected on 23.3 percent from the floor, but four of their seven field goals came from beyond the arc in the first half. Ohio only had eight field goals in the frame, three of which came from long range.

The Bobcats erased a 48-43 deficit with just over five minutes to play by ripping off a 12-2 run. Trailing 55-50 with 32 seconds to play, Wright State made a late run but it came up short when Vest missed a 3-pointer in the final seconds.

Wright State lost despite a 39-34 edge on the glass.
