Recap: Pittsburgh vs. Loyola Marymount

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Cameron Wright scored 14 points, leading five players in double figures, as the Pittsburgh Panthers produced an 85-68 win over the Loyola Marymount Lions in non-conference action at the Petersen Events Center.

Durand Johnson and Talib Zanna each added 12 points for the Panthers (9-0), followed by Michael Young and Lamar Patterson with 10 apiece as the team remained undefeated.

The Lions (6-3) were led by Anthony Ireland who tallied a game-high 20 points and handed out five assists, while Evan Payne pitched in with 16 points. Gabe Levin posted a double-double consisting of 14 points and a game-high 14 rebounds and Ben Dickinson tacked on 10 points of his own for the visitors.

Pittsburgh shot only 1-of-5 behind the 3-point line in the first half, but the team made up for it with 53.6 percent accuracy from the floor overall and a 9-2 scoring edge at the free-throw line in order to claim a 40-29 advantage at the break.

The second half began with a 12-4 run by the Panthers, the team connecting on a sizzling 62.5 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes as they cruised to the 17-point win.

LMU was limited to just 38.8 percent shooting from the field and 3-of-12 on the perimeter on the night.
