Recap: Vanderbilt vs. Georgia Tech

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Rod Odom led all scorers with 18 points, as the Vanderbilt Commodores easily beat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 76-63, in a non-conference matchup at Memorial Gymnasium.

Dai-Jon Parker scored 13 points for the Commodores (7-3), which has won three in a row. Kyle Fuller tallied 12 points, six rebounds and five assists off the bench.

Daniel Miller registered a double-double for the Yellow Jackets (8-4) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Solomon Poole added 11 points for the visitors.

In a close opening period, Georgia Tech shot 42.4 percent from the field and held a slight 31-29 lead at the intermission. Vanderbilt made 43.3 percent of its field goal tries but attempted three less shots in the half.

The Commodores came out strong in the second half, draining 59.1 percent of their field goal attempts, including 5-of-9 from behind the 3-point line to pull away.

Vanderbilt did a better job capitalizing off of mistakes, as they edged the Yellow Jackets 15-6 on points off turnovers.
