Charleston, WV (SportsNetwork.com) - Juwan Staten notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds as the West Virginia Mountaineers clobbered the William and Mary Tribe, 82-45, at the Charleston Civic Center.
Staten shot 6-of-10 from the field for the Mountaineers (8-5) and also contributed six assists. Terry Henderson tallied a game-high 19 points on 6- of-12 from the floor. Nathan Adrian and Eron Harris added 16 and 10 points, respectively.
Tim Rusthoven led the Tribe (6-5) with 13 points, shooting 5-of-9 from the floor. He was the team's only double-digit scorer.
It was all West Virginia in the opening 20 minutes, as the Mountaineers shot 50 percent from the floor, twice the offensive production of their opponent. They also knocked down a perfect 9-of-9 at the line and entered halftime with a 41-24 lead.
The second half was more of the same dominating performance as the Mountaineers ran away with the game on a 48.5 percent shooting performance from the field. They led by as many as 40 points with three minutes left.
The game was largely decided in the paint, where WVU outscored its opponent 37-14 and outrebounded the Tribe, 47-31.
