Syracuse, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Syracuse forward Jerami Grant has opted to forgo his final two years of collegiate eligibility and enter the 2014 NBA Draft.
Grant is the second member of the 2013-14 Orange to leave early, joining freshman point guard Tyler Ennis. Syracuse also lost productive seniors C.J. Fair and Baye Moussa Keita, leaving head coach Jim Boeheim with an inexperienced roster next season.
"After extensive discussions with my family and coaches, I have decided to pursue my dream of playing professional basketball and enter the 2014 NBA Draft," Grant announced. "I cannot thank my coaches, teammates and the entire Orange community enough for all of their support."
Grant battled injuries during the tail end of this past season but still averaged 12.1 points and a team-leading 6.8 rebounds over the 32 games he participated.
The 6-foot-8 forward was an honorable mention on the All-ACC team.
