Cheney, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Set to visit the University of Washington this season, Eastern Washington's football program will do the same in opening the 2019 campaign.
EWU announced on Tuesday an Aug. 31, 2019 game against the Huskies in Seattle.
The two programs met previously in 2011 - a 30-27 Washington victory. They will play again this season on Sept. 6.
"Given the roster makeup of our team, playing against the Huskies affords the many student-athletes we have from the west side of the state the opportunity to play at 'home' against Washington," EWU athletic director Bill Chaves said. "This will again no doubt be a memorable experience and thrill for not only our players and coaches, but our fans and alumni as well."
EWU, from the Big Sky Conference, also have future games planned against two other Pac-12 schools, Oregon in 2015 and Washington State in 2016.
