The Cougars have a great logo and a solid helmet. But the rest of the get-up is sorely lacking. These are busy and plain all at the same time (not sure how that is possible), and it has a distinctive mid-major feel to it.
The Utes upgraded their plain-looking digs a few years ago, adding accents to the shoulder pads. This team has an excellent color scheme and has plenty of potential with just a few more stylish touches. That said, the ones shown here have a lingering hint of Mountain West football.
I was excited to see the new tweaks Cal made to its uniform last year. And while the blue and gold color scheme is still excellent and the matte helmets are awesome, the overhaul didn't hit a home run as expected. There is still work to be done here.
The new logo is awesome. And the black matte helmets look pretty solid. But the influx of black overall isn't very appealing. The grey trim also takes away from the school's primary color scheme. Overall, this is an improvement on the louder uniform of years past.
I had my doubts about the new Beavers digs entering last season (ranked 10th a year ago) but these grew on me. The black and orange contrast in a big way and the matte helmets are super smooth. The all-orange look is tough to watch, though, and keeps them from being ranked higher.
The introduction of the copper color is a bizarre twist and not many fans have approved. The traditional "A" logo is excellent and the simple styling of the blue and white combination is strong. The hints of red complete the picture — until there is too much red and then things go haywire.
The Cardinal offer one of the simplest uniforms in the nation and they get the job done. The standard logo is traditional and the color scheme is solid — without being too busy like other red and white teams in the league. There are no frills anywhere and the all-white road digs are as smooth as historical favorites from Texas or Penn State.
This uniform is very underrated. The black and gold is a great combination and makes this team very unique in the Pac-12, as no other team has a similar pattern. The black pants are awesome looking and the trim on the shoulders isn't audacious. Now, if only the football team could win some games.
It's impossible to rank Oregon but generally the Ducks look great when they take the field. When they are good, they are among the best looking uniforms in the nation (right). When they are bad — aka, don't look directly at them — they can be among the worst in the league (left).
The all-black alternative uniform shown here isn't all that sexy but Washington's purple and gold has long been a fan favorite from across the nation. After small tweaks and upgrades a few years ago, these have become some of the smoothest digs around. The purple pants and white tops are downright amazing while the traditional purple tops and gold pants are still some of the league's most stylish.
It doesn't get much more traditional and stylish all at once than the USC Trojans. These uniforms have figured out a way to be edgy and fresh as well as classic and clean all at the same time. No easy feat. The road whites look just as good. No one has ever looked bad in a Trojans uniform.
The baby blue and gold combination is simply the best. Comparable to the San Diego Chargers' powder blues, UCLA brings one of the single greatest color combinations to athletics. The simple pants and simple shoulder stripes will never need to be updated, as the clean, classic look will never go out of style.
