Hometown: Plantation, Fla.
School: South Plantation
Class: 2013
While the Sunshine State has seen at least 500 girls play football, DiMeglio is believed to be the first girl to play quarterback in a Florida regular-season varsity high school game when she entered a game against Nova in August. She had two handoffs against Davie (Fla.) Nova, but completed her first pass weeks later in the final minutes of a rout of Sunrise (Fla.) Piper. The honors continued when the senior was named homecoming queen during halftime in a game against Hollywood Hills. The homecoming king? One of her receivers, Hordley Seide. DiMeglio is also among the top 10 percent of her graduating class.
