He mailed her an engagement ring (yes, mailed) and now he's suing to get it back.
Roy Williams, the Dallas Cowboys' wide receiver, is in court to sue Brooke Daniels, his ex girlfriend and former Miss Texas beauty pageant winner to get an engagement ring back.
There are two things wrong with this story. #1. Roy mailed her the ring back in February. (Now that's romantic!). #2. The ring was worth $76,000. With a lockout looming, you know that an extra 76 gs might come in handy when the mortgage is due.
Brooke Daniels (pictured right) didn't accept his proposal, but allegedly accepted his ring, and now Roy wants it back. The two had dated for nearly a year, but apparently that wasn't enough to tie the knot.
Brooke's father, Michael Daniels explained the situation:
“He (Roy) said, ‘I’m not like a lot of people, I don’t want the ring back," Daniels said. "You’ll eventually come back to me,’ and she didn’t.”
Daniels also said he's looking for closure in what he described as argument-laden two-year relationship between Williams and Brooke.
“I want to wash my hands of it,” Michael Daniels told the American. “It’s just a hassle. I’ll take care of my daughter. I don’t need him.”
After seeing the picture, I can see why a man might go a little crazy.
