East Rutherford, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Giants placed center David Baas on injured reserve.
Baas hurt his knee in Monday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. It was his first game back after missing the previous three contests with a neck injury. The Michigan product appeared in three games this season.
The 32-year-old Baas has played 122 career games (84 starts) with the 49ers and Giants.
Third-year pro Jim Cordle will take over as the starting center for the Giants, who placed guard Chris Snee on IR earlier this month.
