Tonight, Matt Lauer unexpectedly takes the anchor chair from Bob Costas, who is fighting a double eye infection and will be absent from his hosting duties at an Olympic Games for the first time since 1988. Normal spoiler alert: By tonight, all of this will have already happened, so if you want to go in fresh, avoid the usual sports sites today.

1. Snowboarding — Men's Halfpipe
American superstar Shaun White tried to defend his back-to-back Olympic golds in this event on a course that has generated some controversy due to less-than-optimal conditions. Casual NASCAR fans might want to tune in — word from the course is that wrecks are the norm today.

2. Freestyle Skiing — Women's Slopestyle

This event makes its Olympic debut on a slushy course that will require skill, patience and fearlessness. American Devin Logan faces off against a Canadian juggernaut in the freestyle skiing events.

3. Figure Skating — Pairs Short Program

The U.S. pair of Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir takes to the ice to face a number of talented Russian duos. The pairs long program is set for Wednesday, Feb. 12
