The holidays are a time for gift giving. For most NFL players, the ultimate prize is the Vince Lombardi Trophy given to the winning team in the Super Bowl. Outsdie of the highest honor in team sports, however, individual awards are pretty sweet.

We’ve made a list and checked it twice to determine which players are deserving of recognition — and the corresponding trophy-case hardware — for their performances in 2013.

10 Greatest NFL Quarterback Classes of All-Time

Eli Manning and his two Super Bowl victories headline a star-studded Class of 2004.

The 10 Greatest Quarterback Classes of All-Time, including John Elway, Dan Marino and Jim Kelly in the Quarterback Class of 1983; Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and Philip Rivers in the Quarterback Class of 2004; and Peyton Manning, Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Batch in the Quarterback Class of 1998.

The Quarterback Class of 2012 is off to a fast start. Led by Indianapolis’ Andrew Luck, Washington’s Robert Griffin III and Seattle’s Russell Wilson, the Class of 2012 has a solid base to build on. But they have a long way to go to catch up with the greatest quarterback classes in NFL history.

Most drafts have one or two serviceable passers, the majority of these 10 had multiple Super Bowl caliber signal-callers:

John Elway and Tim Tebow: One Final Comparison

Tim Tebow stacks up to John Elway better than you might think.

Tim Tebow stacks up to John Elway better than you might think. Tebow's statistics after his first 11 starts in 2011 are similar to Elway's numbers following his first 10 seasons with the Denver Broncos.

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

After Tim Tebow's first five starts of the 2011 season, long before Tebowmania had fully bloomed and before Tebowing was even a thing, I took the occasion to compare his five starts to John Elway's first five turns under center in Denver. Neither statline was pretty, but fortunately, Elway had a patient Bronco braintrust that was fully prepared to give him all the time he needed.

Tim Tebow Wins Again; 5-1 as Starter

The Denver Broncos won again. But who deserves credit, Tim Tebow or the defense?

The Denver Broncos won again. But who deserves credit, Tim Tebow or the defense?

In the five games the Broncos have won since Tim Tebow took over as the starting quarterback, the passing-impaired Tebow has staged his own personal version of NFL Mythbusters.

Myth No. 1: A purely running quarterback will never succeed in the NFL, where the athletes are too good and the speed too overwhelming.

Tim Tebow Will Probably Beat Tired Jets

Tim Tebow will be 4–1 as starter; Rex Ryan's Jets will lose twice in five days.

Tim Tebow’s Superman success collides with the wrath of Rex Ryan in a Thursday night fight between the Denver Broncos and New York Jets under the lights at Mile High.

And this comical clash of the titans will certainly end in life or death soap opera hysterics, regardless of the outcome.

Tim Tebow Leads Comeback in Miami

Denver quarterback Tim Tebow still questioned, even after comeback win in Miami.

Superman saved the day again. Tim Tebow led the Denver Broncos to an 18–15 overtime win over the Miami Dolphins.

With Urban Meyer watching on the sideline and a sea of blue No. 15 jerseys — both Broncos and Florida Gators — in the stands, Tebow led Denver to 18 unanswered points in a come-from-behind victory that was sealed by a 52-yard field goal from Matt Prater.

Denver Broncos Should Start Tim Tebow

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superman!

Well, really it’s only a giant digital billboard of the Denver Broncos’ Tim Tebow.
