Athlon Sports visited with LSU football recruit Ethan Pocic.
Lemont High School in the greater Chicago area is home to one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the nation. Ethan Pocic — which is pronounced Poe-sick — is a 6-foot-7, 285-pound mauler who is no stranger to the football field. His older brother, Graham, was a three-year starter and honorable mention All-Big Ten performer for the Fighting Illini of Illinois. Having an older sibling go through the recruiting process can be an invaluable commodity to a young athlete like Ethan.
Because of his family background, Pocic also knows what it takes to be success at a big-time college program. Undoubtedly, the big brother has helped the younger Pocic develop at a quicker rate than the average offensive lineman. This is why the the Class of 2013 blocker got so many elite scholarship offers, including Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Nebraska and USC. Pocic had his pick of schools from all over the nation, so LSU Tigers fans have to excited that the Chicago hog-molly is headed to Baton Rouge to play his college ball.
