Athlon Sports visited with Michigan football recruit Taco Charlton.
A recent trend of central ohio prospects heading north to Michigan continued with Pickerington-Central defensive end Taco Charlton. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive end turned some heads when he picked the Wolverines over other major programs like the in-state Ohio State Buckeyes, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Tennessee and UCLA.
Charlton has loads of upside because of his athletics background. His first love was basketball and wasn't sure football would work out, but after growing and developing his game at a renowned high school program, he has realized his future in on the football field. It doesn't mean he wouldn't consider the hardcourt if the opportunity arose. For now, however, he is focused on getting better every day so he can contribute early for Michigan in 2013.
