Athlon Sports visited with Notre Dame football recruit Torii Hunter Jr.
Torii Hunter Jr., is no stranger to the spotlight. The Prosper (Texas) High wide receiver is the son of 16-year Major League Baseball vet Torii Hunter. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound big-play pass-catcher is headed to South Bend to play for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
In January, Hunter suffered a severe broken leg at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl practices, but the injury hasn’t dampened the young athlete’s excitement about getting to South Bend. In Part II of Athlon Sports sit-down with Hunter Jr., the wide receiver talks about how his father has impacted his recruitment, development as an athlete and desire to succeed on the next level.
