Atlanta Legends Roster (AAF Football)
The Atlanta Legends will have plenty of hometown flavor on their roster for the inaugural season of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Led by head coach Kevin Coyle, who has more than 30 years of coaching experience, including four seasons (2012-15) as the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins.
As for the Legends themselves, more than a fourth of the players on their 52-man active roster (below) played their college ball in the Peach State. That number grows even more when you include neighboring states South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida.
Some of the most familiar names on the Legends include former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray and his Georgia Tech counterpart, Justin Thomas. Murray threw for more than 13,000 yards and 121 touchdowns for the Bulldogs from 2010-13 before going on to a brief career in the NFL. Thomas totaled more than 7,000 yards and 62 total touchdowns during this time with the Yellow Jackets but he's a wide receiver for the Legends. There are a total of eight former Georgia and Georgia Tech players on the Legends' roster.
