Bank on Cooper Kupp and Gabe Davis Player Props for Week 1

Expect a lot of offensive production when the Rams and Bills kick off the 2022 NFL season, which bodes well for player props.

The Rams and Bills kick off the 2022 NFL season and some of the game's biggest stars will be in action. But which players are worthy of betting on in the player prop market? Let’s break it down with some of the best bets and value bets for the season’s opening game.

With an over/under of 52 points, Los Angeles and Buffalo have the second-highest projected score of the week. That bodes well for some of these player props.

Gabe Davis anytime TD +140

In 16 regular-season games, Davis had more touchdowns (6) than Cole Beasley and Emmanual Sanders combined (5). In two postseason games, Davis had five total touchdowns with four touchdowns coming in a single game. Even with two great defenses, oddsmakers are expecting a shootout. Davis is at +140 on SI Sportsbook to find pay dirt, and I’m in.

Cooper Kupp OVER 93.5 passing yards (-125)

Cooper Kupp longest reception OVER 26.5 (-118)

Yes, this passing yard prop is a massive number, but Kupp exceeded this yardage in 15 of 17 games played last year. No need to rub your eyes, that’s not a typo. What’s more? He exceeded triple digits in eleven of those games. You’d think defenses would learn to adjust, but from Week 6 onward, Kupp exceeded this total every time. In the postseason, Kupp put up 183 vs. Tampa Bay and 142 vs. San Francisco in the postseason.

Kupp also would have exceeded this longest reception prop in 13 of 17 regular-season games played in 2021.

Maybe he’s just that good. I’d bet on it.

Devin Singletary over 67.5 rushing+receiving (-120)

Buffalo started trusting Singletary down the stretch last season, and in each of the last five regular-season games, he exceeded this total yards prop easily (89, 96, 78, 110, 112). He also went over this prop in one of the two postseason games (94). I don’t see James Cook as a threat this early and I think Buffalo should want to protect their star signal-caller in the first game of the season. Singletary should have the opportunity in both the ground and receiving game.
