Rams Listed as Home Underdogs Against Bills in Week 1

The defending Super Bowl champions could give bettors great value on the Money Line.

The NFL season kicks off this Thursday night as the Rams host the Bills at SoFi Stadium. It’s a marquee matchup that could easily be a preview of Super Bowl LVII.

  • Moneyline: Buffalo (-133) | Los Angeles (+110)
  • Spread:Buffalo -5.5 (+155) | Los Angeles +5.5 (-188)
  • Total: 52 Over (-110) | Under (-110)
  • Game Info: September 8th, 8:20 p.m. ET | NFL Network

Both of these teams are considered early favorites to win their conferences, with the Bills also currently the favorites as favorites to win the Super Bowl (+600).

Though I do think this is the Bills' year, a little too much money has come in on Buffalo’s side and this spread is very attractive for those that favor the Rams. The reigning Super Bowl champs are the home underdogs, despite the fact that Super Bowl Champions are 18-3 Straight Up and 13-6-2 Against The Spread in Week 1 dating back to Super Bowl XXXIV.

And how about this…

Last season the Rams were underdogs twice, and they won both of those games SU (100%).

The Bills were favored 14 times in 2021, and they won nine of those contests (66.7%)

Yes, I like the Bills to win it all, but I can’t pass up this Week 1 value on the home dogs. They’re entering their second year with Matthew Stafford and even with the elbow concerns, McVay should be able to figure out how to get to Josh Allen. The value is with LA.

You can take the 5.5 points and play it safe (-188), or roll the dice on a plus-money payout (+110). I’m taking the plus-money pick.

THE PICK: Los Angeles ML +110
