Tyreek Hill Helps Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle Prop Bets

Bettors should swim with the Dolphins' player props now that they added the former Chiefs wide receiver.

The acquisition of former Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill in the offseason has resulted in bettors and fantasy owners becoming bullish on the offensive outlook for the Dolphins in 2022.

Fans in South Florida believe that Miami will snap the club’s five-year playoff drought in Mike McDaniel’s first season as head coach. Expectations for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa have soared after the addition of Hill to an offense consisting of wideout Jaylen Waddle.

Miami went 4-2 against AFC East foes last season thanks to season sweeps of the Patriots and Jets. However, Miami was no match against Buffalo, as the Bills outscored the Dolphins by a combined margin of 71-11. Team management knew they needed to make additions in order to compete with the powerful Bills, hence the hefty contract they gave to Hill.

Two player-specific prop investments have been targeted by respected money in Vegas involving Miami’s offense this season.

Tua Tagovailoa Over 24.5 Passing Touchdowns (-112)

Tagovailoa posted solid production in his sophomore season, throwing for 2,653 and 16 touchdowns. The former Alabama standout is now surrounded by a plethora of offensive weapons needed to lead one of the league’s best units.

Armed with one of the most talented wide receiver duos in the NFL, as well as a talented receiving backfield led by Chase Edmonds, the young signal-caller is poised for a solid statistical season.

Needing to keep pace in games against other offensive juggernauts like the Bills, Patriots, Ravens, Bengals, Chargers, 49ers and Packers, the young quarterback will be trusted to throw more inside the red zone. Expect him to soar over his 24.5 touchdown projection.

Jaylen Waddle Over 925.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

The 2021 rookie receiver exploded onto the NFL scene with 104 receptions for 1,015 yards and six touchdowns. Oddsmakers are expecting that due to Hill’s arrival, Waddle will experience regression in his sophomore campaign.

But Waddle will actually benefit from the talented wideout lining up on the other side of the formation. Hill will draw the opposing team’s top cornerback as well as demanding double-teams on a weekly basis. With all the attention on Hill, Waddle will receive softer coverage resulting in a significant target share.

Take advantage of the 80-yard discount on an emerging talent that will post back-to-back 1,000-plus receiving yard seasons in his first two years in the league.
