Week 8 NFL Odds and Best Bets: Four-Team, 6.5-Point Teaser

This four-team teaser bet offers a healthy return at +230.

Through seven weeks of the 2022 NFL season, underdogs continue to lead the way, posting a 60-45-3 (55.6 percent) record against the spread (ATS).

Do you need any more proof of how unpredictable NFL games are this season? Over the last two weeks, Tampa Bay (-13.5; -9.5), the Chargers (-8), New England (-8.5), and Green Bay (-7.5) have lost outright, knocking out the majority of entrants in survivor pools.

Sharp bettors in Vegas continue to heavily invest in teaser wagers, looking to manipulate point spreads. In Week 8, we will follow their lead backing three underdogs and one home favorite at healthy odds of +230.

In this type of investment, bettors are afforded the opportunity to use several (two or more) teams combined into one “exotic bet”, shifting the line in your favor. There are three main NFL teaser offerings readily available at every sportsbook: 6, 6.5 and 7 points. The more points you use on the teaser the lower the payout will be, however the more teams you include in the teaser bet the higher the payout will be.

After hitting on our Exotic wager at odds of +130 in Week 4, we scored once again in Week 6 at odds of +150!

Let’s look to continue our winning ways in Week 8!

New York Jets +9 vs. New England

To start this ticket we will head to MetLife Stadium for the matchup between the Jets and Patriots. Zach Wilson, who is 4-0 SU and ATS on the season, is now 8-3 ATS ((72.7 percent) over his last 11 starts. Instead of needing to stay within a field goal, we will instead push the red-hot Jets squad up to 9-point home underdogs against a struggling Patriots club. New England, who owns a 12-game winning streak against the Jets dating back to 2015, has turned the ball over the second-most (15) times of any team this season. That will be a killer against a New York defense that will be looking to extend its four-game winning streak in front of Jets Nation.

Washington +9.5 vs. Indianapolis

The Colts have replaced veteran quarterback Matt Ryan with the unproven Sam Ehlinger. Taylor Heineke, who is 6-3 over his last nine starts, sparked the Commanders to an upset win over the Packers in his first game action of the season last week. We will grab the three points being offered by oddsmakers on the underdog Washington squad and drive them up to 9.5-point road underdogs.

New York Giants +9.5 vs. Seahawks

In this bet, we will once again target a red-hot Giants squad heading to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. New York, who is 6-1 SU and ATS to start the year, have received points from oddsmakers in six of seven games and have rewarded bettors with a lucrative 5-1 ATS record. Instead of only getting a field goal, in this wager we push Big Blue up to +9.5 against a Seahawks team that is a disappointing 3-6 ATS over their last nine games when asked to lay points by oddsmakers.

Bills -4.5 vs. Packers

In the final leg of a ticket, we will head up to Orchard Park for the Sunday night showdown between the Packers and Bills. The Packers, who have lost four straight against the spread, have only covered once over their last six road games. The Bills, who are 6-1-1 over their last eight games when listed as double-digit favorites, have only failed to cover the spread (4-1-1 ATS) once this season. Instead of needing to win by double-digits, we will drive the Bills down to just a 4.5-point demand.
