People are going to disagree with writers. It's the circle of life.
Fox Sports' Clay Travis probably knows more than anybody about people disagreeing with his opinion. Sometimes players are at the point where they just can't take it anymore. Travis recently wrote about the DA's decision to drop the charges against two Alabama players, and mentioned that there are other people who work harder than athletes.
Alabama's Blake Barnett and Mekhi Brown were not going to let that column slide lightly.
Sounds like something an unathletic person would say. "Ignorance is bliss." pic.twitter.com/phuc1teBwp
— B² (@Blake8Barnett) June 20, 2016Great point. Funny how there's a misconception about the work athletes put in. College athletes have 12+ hour days. https://t.co/78tZtVE86z
— B² (@Blake8Barnett) June 20, 2016Put them in our shoes and they'll quit lol. There is a reason why jobs prefer former athletes over the reg students https://t.co/HBrLgYG9PE

Travis decided to respond to their comments shortly afterward, and obviously Barnett still wasn't going to let it go.
Bama QB thinks athletes work hard compared to doctors, lawyers and investment bankers. So wrong. https://t.co/vkDvefxSU0
— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) June 20, 2016@ClayTravis Sounds like you have the personal experience of being an athlete, doctor, lawyer, and investment banker.
— B² (@Blake8Barnett) June 20, 2016@ClayTravis You're comparing something where there is no need for comparison. No need to dig through things to cause controversy.
— B² (@Blake8Barnett) June 20, 2016Former Crimson Tide player Mike Johnson attempted to school the young guys on the art of Twitter.
These young #Bama players will come to learn that responding to click bait writers on Twitter is exactly what those writers were hoping for

Leg days are brutal.
Louisiana-Lafayette is taking it to a whole other level. The Ragin' Cajuns will have problems walking for about a week after this one.
Gotta love offseason workouts lol pic.twitter.com/NhmxAlQA0y

The talk about satellite camps will never go away.
Nick Saban said during a press conference Tuesday that the camps were "bad for college football." The Alabama head coach had a lot to say about the camps after initially deciding that he was not going to talk about them.
"This is the wild, wild west at its best," Saban said. "There have been no specific guideline relative to how we're managing control of this stuff. It's happening outside the normal evaluation window, which means we're taking time away from our players."
Saban spoke about the coach who has taken a great liking to the camps, Michigan's Jim Harbaugh.
"[Harbaugh] can do whatever he wants to do if he thinks that's what's best," Saban continued. "There needs to be somebody who looks out for what's best for the game, not the SEC or the Big Ten or Jim Harbaugh. But what's best for the game of college football."
Obviously the statements got back to Harbaugh and he went to his favorite social media platform... Twitter.
"Amazing" to me- Alabama broke NCAA rules & now their HC is lecturing us on the possibility of rules being broken at camps. Truly "amazing."
— Coach Harbaugh (@CoachJim4UM) June 1, 2016Saban didn't let it end there.
Nick Saban tells @ClowESPN about Harbaugh: “I don’t really care what he thinks or tweets. I say what I think is best for CFB & the players”
— Brett McMurphy (@McMurphyESPN) June 1, 2016It would be a beautiful thing to see these two coaches face each other on the field at some point.

In a popular move among its fanbase, Pittsburgh is turning back the clock and making the move to its “Pitt” script as its full-time logo for 2016. One of the final pieces to the puzzle in the logo transition are new uniforms for its teams, including the football program for the upcoming year.
On Wednesday night, Pitt unveiled its new uniforms for 2016, with coach Pat Narduzzi hinting there is a retro design on the way.
Here’s a look at the Panthers new uniforms for 2016:

Changing an already good-looking uniform can be a recipe for disaster.
Clemson's uniforms have always been a fan favorite so you might be thinking, what could they do to improve it? The answer is tipping their hats to the old-school look while keeping it modern at the same time. Genius.
Bigger numbers and subtle changes to the Tiger paw are the highlights of the change.
Recreating history is what the Tigers are going for, and with this new look they might do just that.

Age is just a number according to Nick Saban.
The Alabama coach is just as young as he feels. On paper, he's 64, going 65 in October, and says that other coaches are using his age against him when it comes to recruiting.
"I'm not looking to get out," Saban told ESPN. "I'm really not, even though I know that's going to start being talked about more now. What I have noticed is that it's the first time people are starting to say to recruits, 'He won't be there the whole time you're there,' because of my age. Does that really impact your ability to stay good? I don't know. But if it did, it would make you say, 'Well, what's up with this?' My philosophy is that I'm going to be here for as long as I feel I can be effective, impact the players, help them be more successful in life and continue to have a successful program."
Saban and Alabama have been one in the same for a long time now, and that's the way he sees it in the near future.
"I think you get to station in your life, whether it's family or relationships, a combination of all the above, that you just feel like you're entrenched," Saban continued. "You can't even visualize being somewhere else, and that's where I am right now."
As long as Saban can be effective with the Tide, he'll be sticking around. Judging by the last championship, that could be a while.

Texas Tech opponents beware.
If you try going up for a jump ball against Derrick Willies, you probably won't have much of a chance. The Red Raiders receiver did an impressive 60-inch box jump sitting down. Oh not to mention, he was wearing a 10lb vest. Yikes.

The Lovie Smith era has begun at the University of Illinois.
Smith was introduced to his players and received a warm welcome. It's always a good sign when players have this kind of reaction to a new coach.
So far Smith has received a positive reaction from everyone around the program as well. It'll be interesting to see what he does in the years ahead.

Penn State has a beast that goes by the name of Saquon Barkley.
The Nittany Lions running back is only getting stronger by the day. Barkley, at 215 pounds, put up 390 pounds in the weight room. This is when the real season starts.

Hard work pays off.
Oregon State safety Gabe Ovgard was rewarded for all the hard work he puts in and given a full-ride athletic scholarship. The Beavers know a quality guy when they see one.
