Another offseason, another busy year in the SEC’s assistant coach carousel. There’s usually no shortage of movement within the league or changes on staffs each offseason, and 2016 brought several moves to the contenders or teams looking to take a step forward in the standings.
Talent does not always guarantee becoming an NFL Draft pick. Dozens of college football stars did not hear their name called during the 2016 NFL Draft. Many of these players have now signed with teams as undrafted free agents and will be competing with draft picks to make an opening-day NFL roster.
The 2016 NFL Draft is complete as 253 players have taken the first steps in their professional football careers. From a college football standpoint, the focus now shifts to next year. The true measure of a college football team's strength of schedule cannot be determined until the regular season approaches its end. That said, some schedules stand out as obviously better than others before a game is ever played.
