With the third weekend of the 2018 season in the books, it’s time to take a look at the best of the best and honor some of the top performances. Weekly college football top 25 rankings are a big part of every season, and Athlon Sports will update its top 25 following the games each weekend. The third weekend of the 2018 season featured its share of big matchups, including Ohio State's victory over TCU, Washington's road win at Utah and LSU's last-second upset at Auburn. As expected, Alabama, Clemson and Georgia cruised to easy victories to remain the top three teams in this week's ranking. Boston College and Oklahoma State join the top 25 after big wins in Week 3.

College football’s 2018 season continues with a busy Week 3 slate that features 67 overall matchups. Hurricane Florence has forced the cancellation of a couple of contests (UCF-North Carolina, NC State-West Virginia and Virginia Tech-East Carolina), with the Coastal Carolina-Campbell game moving to Wednesday, and Wake Forest-Boston College moving up its start time by a couple of hours on Thursday.
