Waiver Wire Week 4: Baker Mayfield, Calvin Ridley, Chris Godwin, Vance McDonald

Ridley was the top fantasy wide receiver in Week 3
Waiver Wire Week 4: Baker Mayfield, Calvin Ridley, Chris Godwin, Vance McDonald

The waiver wire leading up to Week 4 is full of wide receivers, although some fantasy owners are going to be looking for a quarterback. With Jimmy Garoppolo out for the season (torn ACL), owners need a replacement. Odds are neither Sam Bradford (benched) nor Tyrod Taylor (concussion, now benched) were largely owned, but if so, those guys are no longer relevant.

NFL Injury Report: Leonard Fournette, LeSean McCoy, Corey Clement, T.J. Yeldon for Week 3

Clement should play through his quad injury and is in line for an expanded role against Indianapolis

Many running backs have already been ruled out for Week 3, so at least fantasy owners don't have to play the waiting game for them. Joe Mixon hurt his knee in Week 2’s Thursday night game and needed a scope, so he’s out for Week 3 (look for Giovani Bernard to step up in his place). Darren Sproles and Jay Ajayi are both out for the Eagles (Corey Clement should be a RB2). Devonta Freeman is out for another week, leaving Tevin Coleman to carry the workload for another week.

While many running backs have already been ruled out for Week 3, many wide receivers are listed as questionable, which adds to the challenge facing some fantasy owners when it comes to determining their starting lineups. Week 2 was rough on wide receivers, and many of these players missed practice time this week. Curtis Samuel has already been ruled out, same for Doug Baldwin. However, Baldwin should be returning soon, so if he is on the waiver wire for some reason, don’t hesitate to add him.

NFL Injury Report: Aaron Rodgers, Marcus Mariota, Antonio Gates for Week 3

Even if Mariota is active, he's not a recommended fantasy start for Week 3

Week 2 didn’t produce many new injuries to quarterbacks or tight ends (thank goodness, Week 1 was bad enough) for fantasy owners to deal with. However, a handful of players are still listed as questionable. Please make note that tight end Jack Doyle (Indianapolis Colts) has been ruled out for Week 3. This should mean Eric Ebron, who was still seeing plenty of targets, moves into TE1 status for Week 3. Greg Olsen remains out, although he may be able to return in a few weeks.

Start 'em, Sit 'em Week 3: Kenyan Drake and Other RB Start/Sit Fantasy Advice

Plus, is the league's leading rusher a must-start against the Chiefs?
Start 'em, Sit 'em Week 3: Kenyan Drake and Other RB Start/Sit Fantasy Advice

While it’s a given that you are going to start your stud running backs on your fantasy football team on any given Sunday, it’s choosing who to start in your flex spots that can really make the difference between winning and losing.

This week, however, it is more about who you shouldn’t start. If you have questions about running backs like Derrick Henry, Marshawn Lynch and Kenyan Drake, this week’s start/sit advice will really help.

Start 'em, Sit 'em Week 3: Keelan Cole and Other WR/TE Start/Sit Fantasy Advice

Plus, which Rams receiver should score the most fantasy points this week (it's not who you think)

So it's Week 3 of the fantasy football season and I'm sure you are asking yourself  "who should I start at wide receiver?" Is Keelan Cole really a WR1? Which Broncos receiver should you sit this week?

And what about at tight end? Can you trust George Kittle to rebound or is Jesse James a better option this week?

Start 'em, Sit 'em Week 3: Carson Wentz and Other QB/DST Start/Sit Fantasy Advice

Can you really trust Wentz in his first game back from injury?

If you went with the late-round quarterback strategy in your fantasy football drafts this year, or love to stream quarterbacks, picking the right one based on matchups is vital to your success.

This week there are some stud quarterbacks that are in tough matchups like Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson and Philip Rivers, but are they still worth starting?

Running Back Rankings Week 3

Todd Gurley exploded for three touchdowns last week
Running Back Rankings Week 3

It's only Week 3 of the fantasy football season but this is a week where you really want to pay special attention to the running back rankings.

Besides some guys who are not expected to play this week (Devonta Freeman, Joe Mixon) there are several more that are questionable at this point, including Melvin Gordon, Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, LeSean McCoy and Jay Ajayi.

Quarterback Rankings Week 3

At some point, Patrick Mahomes will have a game where he throws less than four TD passes
Quarterback Rankings Week 3

Fantasy owners who drafted Patrick Mahomes in the mid- to late rounds on draft day have enjoyed the first two weeks of the season. Mahomes now has the record for the most touchdowns in the first two weeks of the season — not just for a rookie, but for all quarterbacks. He is on pace for an insane season... and the regression will occur. The interceptions will come, and he will have games where he doesn't throw for four or more touchdowns. But for Week 3, he's the No. 1-ranked quarterback.

NFL Injury Report: DeAndre Hopkins, Davante Adams, DeSean Jackson, Will Fuller for Week 2

Fuller should make his 2018 debut as a WR3 this week

After Week 1, plenty of fantasy-relevant players made their way onto the injury report. Several key wide receivers have already been ruled out (Doug Baldwin, Josh Gordon, Alshon Jeffery, Marquise Goodwin, Curtis Samuel). However, some of the big names that are listed as questionable are problematic for fantasy owners. Be sure to check the inactive report before game time as well.
