The fantasy football playoffs begin Thursday night, and if you expect to advance don’t start any Cleveland Browns players against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
So Cleveland Browns running back Montatrio Hardesty is a game-time decision today against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Take nothing from it, however, in regards to your fantasy lineups for Week 11.
The second-year player, whose rookie season was lost last year after an ACL injury, has missed the last two games with a calf injury. Cleveland coach Pat Shurmur called him a game-time decision after Hardesty returned to practice for the first time on Friday. But it was a limited practice, one in which he did only individual work and no team drills.
Due to injuries and due to byes this week there are a number of fantasy owners scrambling to find a one-week waiver wire replacement in their lineups for Week 8. Nowhere does this seem as prevalent as at the running back position.
And just because they are out there, just because they are perhaps going to get the bulk of the work, there are plenty of running backs whose match ups this week just aren’t worth the headache.
Here’s a look at the names I left off of the Week 8 Waiver Wire story and why you should avoid them, too.
