2022 NCAA March Madness Key Dates

After last year's NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament was played in a bubble in Indiana, March Madness is back to its typical format in 2022.

Selection Sunday is set for March 13 when the field of 68 teams will be unveiled. The games will then start with the "First Four" in Dayton, Ohio, on March 15-16.

The madness kicks up a notch with the first and second rounds from March 17-20. The field will shrink further with the following week with the four regionals (where the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight take place) scheduled for March 24-27. This year's Final Four is set for April 2 in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans with the national champion crowned the night of April 4.

Tuesday, March 15 & Wednesday, March 16 – First Four (UD Arena - Dayton, Ohio)

Thursday, March 17 & Saturday, March 19 – First and Second Rounds (Buffalo, N.Y.; Indianapolis, Forth Worth, Texas; Portland, Ore.)

Friday, March 18 & Sunday, March 20 – First and Second Rounds (Greenville, S.C.; Milwaukee; Pittsburgh; San Diego)

Thursday, March 24 & Saturday, March 26 – South (San Antonio) and West (San Francisco) Regionals

Friday, March 25 & Sunday, March 27 – Midwest (Chicago) and East Regionals (Philadelphia)

Saturday, April 2 – Final Four (Caesars Superdome in New Orleans)

Monday, April 4 – National Championship (Caesars Superdome in New Orleans)
