Newark, DE (SportsNetwork.com) - Kory Holden netted 27 points with five assists as his Delaware Blue Hens ended a 10-game losing skid with an 82-77 victory over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at Bob Carpenter Center in non- conference play.
Marvin King-Davis contributed 14 points with seven rebounds for Delaware (1-10), which ended the program's fifth-longest losing streak. Chivarsky Corbett netted 12 points, Kyle Anderson chipped in with 11 and Cazmon Hayes scored 10 in the win.
Marcus Posley scored 22 points to lead St. Bonaventure (7-4), which has lost two in a row and three of its last four. Dion Wright netted 16 points with eight rebounds, and Andell Cumberbatch tallied 13. Youssou Ndoye grabbed a team-best 12 rebounds in the loss.
St. Bonaventure connected on 44.4 percent of its first-half field goal tries, and took a slim 40-38 lead into the intermission. Delaware hit on 50 percent from the floor, and made 6-of-10 from 3-point range in the frame.
But the Blue Hens heated up in the second half, netting 57.7 percent of their shots with a 10-of-12 mark from the free-throw line to grab a late lead. The Bonnies shot 36.4 percent from the floor en route to the loss.
Delaware outscored St. Bonaventure from the free-throw line, 14-8, and from 3- point range, 30-15. The Bonnies held a commanding 48-26 edge in points in the paint.
