Cambridge, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Wesley Saunders filled the stat sheet with 24 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals, as the Harvard Crimson downed the Princeton Tigers, 82-76, in Ivy League action at Lavietes Pavilion.
Saunders shot 9-of-13 from the field and 6-of-7 at the foul line for Harvard (16-3, 3-0 Ivy), which has won three of four. Laurent Rivard added 18 points for the hosts, while Kyle Casey pitched in 11 points.
T.J. Bray led all scorers with 26 points for Princeton (12-4, 0-2), while Hans Brase had 20 points and seven boards and Spencer Weisz tallied 11 points off the bench.
Princeton shot 60.9 percent from the field in the first half, compared to Harvard's 48.3 percent, but both teams made 14 field goals and the Crimson took a 36-35 lead into the break.
With the game tied early in the second half, Harvard separated itself with an 8-0 run, and the Tigers would never get closer than four points of the lead the rest of the way.
Harvard won the turnover battle, 16-12, and outscored Princeton at the foul line, 20-10.
