Bloomington, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Drew Crawford recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, as the Northwestern Wildcats notched a 54-47 road win over the Indiana Hoosiers in Big Ten Conference play at Assembly Hall.
Tre Demps chipped in with 15 points off the bench for the Wildcats (9-10, 2-4 Big Ten), who earned only their second win away from campus in eight tries this season.
Noah Vonleh scored 17 points and pulled down 12 boards for the Hoosiers (12-6, 2-3), who came out flat after dealing third-ranked Wisconsin its first loss of the season earlier this week.
Indiana had just eight points through the game's first 17 minutes. The Wildcats did not fare much better as neither team eclipsed 28-percent shooting from the floor in the opening frame, which ended with NU on top, 22-19.
Demps scored 13 of his 15 points in the final six and a half minutes as NU closed the game on a 19-9 run to seal the win.
IU shot a mere 25 percent for the game on its home floor, just four days after treating the Bloomington faithful to a thrilling upset win over a top-3 team.
