Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Jajuan Johnson came off the bench to net a game-high 19 points as the Marquette Golden Eagles downed North Dakota, 67-54, in a non-conference matchup at the Bradley Center.
Derrick Wilson tallied 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists for Marquette (7-4), while Juan Anderson contributed eight points, 13 boards and three blocks.
Estan Tyler paced North Dakota (4-7) with 18 points, but also committed six of the team's 13 turnovers. Jaron Nash provided 11 points and eight rebounds and Quinton Hooker supplied 12 points and three steals.
North Dakota took a 29-24 lead into the break after it shot 44 percent from the field in the opening stanza. The Golden Eagles were limited to 30 percent efficiency from the floor, including a 2-of-12 clip from beyond the arc in the first half.
Marquette heated up after halftime to sink 55.2 percent of its field goal tries. North Dakota was held to 10-of-28 shooting from the floor over the final 20 minutes of the contest.
Marquette dominated on the interior as it outrebounded North Dakota, 46-28, and outscored the visitors, 38-18, in the paint.
