Albuquerque, NM (SportsNetwork.com) - Sam Logwood netted 17 points and led his New Mexico Lobos over the Air Force Falcons, 60-48, in Mountain West Conference play at WisePise Arena.
Hugh Greenwood scored 11 points, pulled down seven boards, dished out six assists and had four steals for New Mexico (12-5, 4-1 MWC) in the victory. Arthur Edwards added to the scoring with 10 points.
Zach Kocur was the only scorer to reach double figures for Air Force (8-8, 1-4), finishing with 12 points. Marek Olesinski finished with nine points and five rebounds for the Falcons.
The Lobos held Air Force to a 30.4 shooting percentage in the opening period, including a forgettable 3-of-14 mark from 3-point range. New Mexico meanwhile converted 44.4 percent of its first-half field goal tries, which included four 3-pointers, and held a 22-20 lead heading into halftime.
The Falcons' offensive struggles continued in the second half, as they made only 39.1 percent of their field goal tries. The Lobos, on the other hand, saw an improvement in their shooting output, as they made 55 percent of their attempts in the final period, and pulled away for their fourth league victory this season.
New Mexico's bench outscored Air Force's reserves, 24-6, and the Lobos outrebounded the Falcons, 33-22.
