Albuquerque, NM (SportsNetwork.com) - Cullen Neal scored 23 points and dished out four assists to lead the New Mexico Lobos to a 67-59 win over the Cal State Fullerton Titans in non-conference action at The Pit/Bob King Court.
Hugh Greenwood chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds for New Mexico (2-0), which shot 48.7 percent from the floor in the win.
Moses Morgan scored a team-high 21 points for Cal State Fullerton (0-2), Lanerryl Johnson contributed 14 points with five assists and Alex Harris netted 13 points in the loss.
New Mexico opened the contest by shooting 45 percent in the first half, and went 11-of-15 from the free-throw line to take a 31-23 lead at halftime. Fullerton shot 37.5 percent from the floor in the frame.
The Lobos surged to 52.6 percent shooting in the second half, adding another 13 from the charity stripe. The Titans increased their accuracy to 48.4 percent from the field, but they couldn't make up any ground.
New Mexico had a 35-23 edge in rebounding, and outscored Cal State Fullerton from the free-throw line, 24-2, in the win.
