St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Andell Cumberbatch knocked down 17 points as the St. Bonaventure Bonnies downed the Saint Louis Billikens, 64-48, in Atlantic 10 Conference play at Chaifetz Arena.
Dion Wright tallied 16 points and nine rebounds for the Bonnies (16-12, 9-8 A-10), who have won three of their last four. Marcus Posley logged 10 points, five boards and five assists.
Ash Yacoubou netted 11 points for the Billikens (11-19, 3-14), who have lost three in a row.
The Bonnies shot 40.0 percent from the field in the opening half. The Billikens, on the other hand, hit just six shots from the floor (27.3 percent), including only 1-of-6 from the perimeter allowing the Bonnies to claim a 26-18 advantage at halftime.
The hosts improved slightly in the second half where they shot 38.5 percent from the field, but only 2-of-10 from beyond the arc. The Bonnies, shooting a confident 51.9 percent from the floor, cruised to the 16-point victory.
St. Bonaventure outscored the opposition 14-7 in points off turnovers, capitalizing on 15 SLU miscues.
