Logan, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Smith scored a game-high 18 points, leading four starters in double figures, as the Utah State Aggies captured a 75-62 win over the Nevada Wolf Pack in Mountain West Conference action at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Jalen Moore, who converted all but two of his nine field goal attempts, added 17 points for the Aggies (14-10, 7-5 MWC), followed by David Collette and Julion Pearre with 14 and 12 points, respectively, as the team posted a second-straight victory.
The Wolf Pack (7-16, 3-8) were paced by Eric Cooper Jr. with 14 points, Tyron Criswell 12 and AJ West 10 points, the latter adding seven rebounds as the team landed back in the loss column for the eighth time in nine outings.
Utah State scored the first points of the contest and never looked back, connecting on an impressive 63.6 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes of action, including 5-of-9 behind the 3-point line, en route to a 42-33 advantage at the break.
In the second half the Aggies continued their hot shooting at a 55.0 percent clip, converting 4-of-7 on the perimeter, as they cruised to the double-digit home win.
The hosts cleared just three offensive rebounds and lost the battle of the boards, 33-20, but with only six turnovers and 59.5 percent accuracy from the floor the Aggies still captured the comfortable victory.
