Williamsburg, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Britt shot 4-of-5 from 3-point range on his way to 22 points, as the William & Mary Tribe made easy work of the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks, 93-70, in Colonial Athletic Association action at Kaplan Arena.
Marcus Thornton added 15 points, five assists and three steals for William & Mary (16-9, 8-4 CAA), which has won four of five. Kyle Gaillard chipped in 14 points for the hosts.
For UNCW (8-21, 2-12), losers of two straight, Luke Hager and Addison Spruill netted 10 points apiece.
UNCW shot an impressive 51.7 percent from the field in the first half, but it couldn't keep pace with the red-hot Tribe, which made good on 60 percent of its tries from the floor. William & Mary carried a 44-36 lead into intermission.
The Tribe's lead was never in jeopardy after halftime, as their lead extended to as many as 26 points down the stretch.
William & Mary shot 16-of-30 from beyond the arc, compared to 7-of-17 for UNCW.
