Syracuse men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim struck and killed a man on the interstate, according to Syracuse.com.
"The man in his 30s had been in a car with four others near Thompson Road in Syracuse when their vehicle crashed for unknown reasons ... the man at some point got out of his vehicle ... that's when Boeheim drove by and struck the pedestrian."
It's known around the college basketball world that Boeheim does not drink so many are saying that alcohol was not a factor but icy conditions may have played a part.
Boeheim was interviewed by police and released.
A statement has been released by John Wildhack, Syracuse University Director of Athletics.
