Matt Rhule's days coaching in the NFL appear to be over, at least for now. The Panthers fired him this Monday morning.
Now, the expectation is that Rhule will return to coaching at the college level. After all, he was spectacular at Baylor.
Luckily for the 47-year-old football coach, there's a few big openings in college football right now.
There's three potential landing spots for Rhule, per Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports. The list includes Nebraska, Wisconsin and Georgia Tech.
"I don't know who Matt Rhule's agent is but he is about to be involved in a bidding war. My knee-jerk destinations 1. Nebraska 2. Wisconsin 3. Georgia Tech His availability actually may cause some teams to fire their coach he's that good. (More)," said Dodd.
It wouldn't be a big surprise if Arizona State and potentially Auburn joins that list. The Sun Devils fired Herm Edwards this year and the Tigers are expected to move on from Bryan Harsin.
Matt Rhule will hear from just about every college football opening over the next few months.
It will be fun to see him get back in coaching at the college level.
