Buckle up, college football fans. You're going to want to circle Nov. 26 on your 2022 calendar because that's the "most anticipated" game of the upcoming college football season.
Per 247Sports, the Ohio State vs. Michigan game on Nov. 26 is the "most anticipated" game of the 2022 college football season.
The Wolverines punched the Buckeyes in the mouth last season in a lopsided 42-27 victory in Ann Arbor. The storied rivalry game returns to The Shoe later this fall.
"No matchup will be more important on Nov. 26 nationally if you're a believer in these two programs as preseason title contenders," said Brad Crawford of 247Sports. "Last season, Michigan used its streak-snapping win over Ohio State to punch its ticket to the Big Ten Championship Game. And after dismantling Iowa, the Wolverines were in the playoff for the first time in program history. Should Jim Harbaugh's squad and the Buckeyes hover around the top five throughout the season once again, this game will not only decide the division but will certainly have playoff implications. Who's to say an 11-1 Michigan or Ohio State, should both teams come in unbeaten, wouldn't trump a Power Five champion from another league given the Big Ten's strength of schedule?"
Ohio State is expected to be a national championship contender this upcoming season. Michigan, meanwhile, will likely take a step back after a terrific 2021 campaign.
Both Big Ten contenders begin the season on Sept. 3. Ohio State opens with Notre Dame while Michigan starts out with Colorado State.
