National finalists James Madison, North Dakota State gain three selections each
Not surprisingly, national finalists James Madison and North Dakota State lead the way with three selections each on the Athlon Sports FCS Postseason All-America Team.
From James Madison, the 2016 champ who is seeking back-to-back titles, there’s left tackle Aaron Stinnie, defensive end Andrew Ankrah and safety Raven Greene. North Dakota State, the five-time champ from 2011-15, boasts offensive guard Austin Kuhnert, linebacker Nick DeLuca (above, right) and long snapper James Fisher. Their teams are set to meet in a titanic showdown for the FCS championship Jan. 6 in Frisco, Texas.
The All-America team reflects the widespread talent level across the FCS. Ten conferences and 24 schools are represented on the 30-player team.
