Big 12 2016 Season Awards and All-Conference Team

Dede Westbrook

Dede Westbrook

Thanks to a dynamic offense and the play of quarterback Baker Mayfield and receiver Dede Westbrook, Oklahoma took home the Big 12 title for the second consecutive season. The Sooners finished unbeaten in conference action for the first time since 2004 and could finish inside of the top five of the Associated Press poll with a win over Auburn in the Sugar Bowl. Oklahoma State finished second behind its in-state rival with a solid 9-3 year, while West Virginia took a step forward under coach Dana Holgorsen with a 10-2 overall record and a 7-2 mark in conference play. The Mountaineers, Cowboys and Sooners combined for 23 selections on the Athlon Sports' All-Big 12 team for 2016, with Kansas State and TCU each earning seven picks.
