When it comes to simply winning football games, few programs in college football have been able to do it at the same rate that Boise State has over the last decade or so. As a result, the Bronco faithful have become accustomed to winning, subsequently raising their expectations for the program to the level of College Football Playoff crashers every season.
As is the case with most programs, those expectations just aren't realistic. The 2017 season could be a harsh reminder of just that in Boise.
A bit of a reloading year talent-wise, some decent teams in the non-conference portion of the schedule and an ever-improving Mountain West Conference are all hurdles standing in the way of the program's 14th double-digit win campaign since the turn of the century.
