A former four-star running back recruit is no longer with the LSU football program, Brian Kelly announced this Thursday. That player is Kevontre Bradford.
Bradford is a 5-foot-11, 193-pound running back who committed to LSU in 2020. He was the No. 130 overall recruit and No. 13 running back in his class, per the 247Sports composite.
Bradford's collegiate journey has been an interesting one, to say the least. He began at LSU, transferred to Oklahoma, re-entered the transfer portal and came back to join LSU football.
However, it appears his days with the Tigers are done. Kelly announced this Thursday that Bradford has been "separated from the University" and is no longer on the Tigers' roster.
Bradford was running fourth on LSU's running back depth chart, so he was unlikely to get much playing time this fall. The Tigers will now rely on John Emery Jr., Noah Cain and Armoni Goodwin.
LSU begins the 2022 season on Sept. 4 against the Seminoles of Florida State.
