Chris Fowler Reveals His Pick For The Big Ten's Top Home Field Advantage

Chris Fowler talks with Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit

The Big Ten is home to some of the best football environments in all of college football. ESPN's Chris Fowler thinks just one stands out among the rest, though. That would be Beaver Stadium.

Fowler thinks Penn State's "White Out" game is the peak of Big Ten football. No crowd is more hostile, no environment more intimidating in the conference.

“It happens just one time a year, but it’s the best annual environment in college football,” Fowler said. “That show of unanimity by wearing the all-white and the support they have. The energy in that place. I’ve been so lucky to call so many big 'White Out' games.

"Yes, there are great fans in Columbus and East Lansing and the 'Big House' (Michigan) but for me, Penn State in the 'White Out' environment is No. 1 in the Big Ten."

That's high praise for Penn State to beat out other hostile Big Ten environments like Ohio State's and Michigan's. Well done, Nittany Lions.

Chris Fowler knows what he's talking about, too. He's seen the best of the best in all of college football. But clearly Penn State stands out among the rest.

Penn State's "White Out" game takes place on Oct. 22 when the Nittany Lions host the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
